Officials with the city of Branford, Connecticut have noticed that traffic accidents are on the rise in town, and they believe that distracted driving amid construction zones along Route 1 is to blame. Distracted driving has presented itself as a major cause of traffic accidents everywhere, but the threat is especially apparent in construction areas where it’s essential that a driver focuses on the road. In fact, the local police department handed out 165 distracted driving tickets during the latest reported time period.
