Florida Lacks a Texting Ban, But Local Businesses Pick up the Slack

Even though the state of Florida has not banned texting while driving, many local employers are still doing their best to get people to stop the practice. Companies like Disney World and Darden Restaurants have rules targeting the act and are teaching their employees the dangers of what can happen when behind the wheel and not watching the road. Florida is only one of six states that have not made texting and driving illegal yet, despite a AAA study showing a ban garnering support from 87% of motorists.
