Officials in Coshocton County, Ohio are stressing the importance of motorcycle safety. The county’s winding rural roads are cited as the reason why motorcycle accidents are prevalent in the area. Spokespersons for both the Ohio Department of Public Safety and Bikers for Christ each say that one of the biggest dangers to motorcyclists nowadays is distracted driving. The ODPS spokesperson says that it’s gotten so bad that he might hang up his motorcycle and gear for good. He recommends proper training to offset the risk.
