Many different children all across the United States have been left in their guardians’ cars for long periods of time during the summer months and many have died. In just 2011, there were 33 fatalities. Heatstroke is a huge problem within this demographic because of how quick the temperature can build when a kid is left in the car during the summer heat. Tools that alert parents are available, but the NHTSA warns that they’re not necessarily effective.
