Tragedy Puts Spotlight on Dirt Bikes in New York City

In New York City, dirt bikes have become a popular form of transportation among some citizens.  Unfortunately, a recent tragedy has led many to reevaluate what place such forms of transport have in a bustling city, if any.  Not only are the items not street legal, but they don’t have blinkers or headlights that are necessary on other motorcycles.  Many regular motorcyclists believe that riding a dirt bike is inappropriately hazardous as compared to the average motorcycle.  Some dirt bike enthusiasts want to see parks installed.
