With school set to start, the Texas Department of Transportation is taking the opportunity to spread safety along the roads through their “Drive Friendly, Drive Safe” campaign. With 415 pedestrians dying throughout the state last year alone, drivers are urged to be on the lookout for walkers and bicyclists alike. The DOT says the best way to avoid disaster is to simply slow down and take note of the things going on around you.
