Pennsylvania Senator Opposes Cigar Regulation by the FDA

The Food and Drug Administration is attempting to exercise an option that would allow them to have oversight on the cigar industry, but a Pennsylvania senator is opposing their efforts.  He says such a measure would be deleterious to the entire industry, cutting down on jobs and hurting the economy.  The FDA’s effort is designed to keep kids from getting addicted to tobacco products, but many across the country believe it goes too far.  The senator has co-sponsored a bill that aims to impede the FDA’s regulatory efforts in this arena.
