Ohio’s Jefferson County Fair Offers Distracted Driving Simulator

Posted on August 9, 2012

Visitors to the Jefferson County Fair in Ohio will be able to try out a distracted driver simulator until August 19. The simulator allows drivers the chance to drive while facing distractions, therefore letting citizens see firsthand the danger inherent in using cellphones while driving without actually getting hurt. The Deputy Director of the Ohio Department of Transportation remarked that looking at your phone for five seconds while going 55 miles per hour is like driving down an entire football field without looking.
