Officials, Citizens Confident Alabama Texting Ban Will Be Beneficial

Posted on August 3, 2012

As of a couple days ago, Alabama became the 39th state to enforce a ban on texting on your cell phone while driving. Most drivers seem to be happy that the law has taken effect, and the Public Safety Department believes that many people will abide by the new law.  Anyone caught breaking this law will be fined $25 for their first offense and the charge will increase by $25 for each subsequent infraction.
