A unique crash test has called into question the safety of eight different luxury cars, including models from Lexus, Mercedes, and BMW. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has stated that these companies failed to adequately provide protection among their vehicles in situations where the front corner of the vehicle is the fulcrum point of the crash. The only two vehicles to earn good ratings were the Volvo S60 and Acura TL, and the Infiniti G garnered an acceptable rating.
