Dutchmen and Coleman RVs Recalled for Propane Leak Threat

Posted on August 7, 2012

87 Dutchmen 196 and Coleman 192 recreational vehicles of the 2013 model year have been recalled by Dutchmen for a potential defect involving the propane line.  This component is too close to the rear axle hanger, and the bolt of the latter can come into contact with and damage the fuel line.  Should an ignition source be present when the subsequent leak takes place, a fire or explosion becomes a distinct possibility.  Owners will be contacted by Dutchmen and dealers will conduct the free repairs.  No word yet on when this is expected to happen.
