Crash Hazard Prompts Recall of Aerial Device Vehicles by Altec

Posted on August 15, 2012

141 Aerial Device vehicles of the 2012 model year have been recalled by Altec Industries.  These automobiles, which have a chassis from Navistar Terrastar, come with a torsion bar put in by Altec that increases the front suspension’s ride height.  Should the vehicle hit uneven terrain, such as a speed bump, the vehicle operator might briefly lose control of the vehicle’s direction and thus a crash threat is posed.  Contact and free repairs will be made by Altec.
