Cornwall Police Urge Motorists to Report Distracted Drivers to Hotline

Police in Cornwall, England are encouraging people to call them when they spot drivers who are texting while driving. This is a part of the Distracted Drivers Traffic Enforcement Campaign. A hotline has been set up for drivers to call when it’s safe to do so.  This is being done to promote public safety and prevent unfortunate incidents from occurring due to distracted drivers. An officer who spots a texting driver may issue a $150 fine, however, drivers reported to the police hotline will not be fined.
