Colorado State Offers Safety Tips to Incoming Bicyclists

Posted on August 23, 2012

A report out of Colorado State aims to help students by providing tips designed to keep bicyclists and pedestrians stay safe.  The first thing they want visitors to understand is the fact that bikes are considered vehicles, and thus bicyclists are required to obey traffic signage, and in turn others are required to respect their rights as vehicles.  The campus also wants bicyclists to be aware that they aren’t allowed in dismount zones and that a back reflector and front light need to be utilized at night.
