Clif Bar Recalls Blueberry Crisp 12-Packs for Undeclared Allergen Risk

Posted on August 14, 2012

A packaging error has led Clif Bar to recall a number of blueberry crisp bars that were sold in 12-packs predominately throughout the East Coast.  Although the overall packaging of the 12-packs is accurate, each individual bar may have been placed in a chocolate chip bar wrapper.  These wrappers fail to list almonds as one of the ingredients in the bars, and thus, an undeclared allergen hazard is posed to persons sensitive to that substance.  Consumers allergic to almonds should refrain from eating the items.
