Bike Safety Advocates Crash Planning Meeting in Henrico, Virginia

Posted on August 28, 2012

Bicycle safety advocates crashed a landscaping forum in Henrico, Virginia to question officials as to why none of the $1.76 million being provided for an upcoming project is being put toward creating bike lanes in the area.  The county has conspicuously few lanes, causing some citizens to question the city’s commitment to protecting bicyclists as well as motorists.  Still, other citizens are in opposition to bike lanes for what they would mean for their residences, and cost has proven to be another factor that’s delayed bike lane installation.
