Police in the city of Anchorage, Alaska are optimistic that a recent decrease in bicycle accidents will continue for the foreseeable future. Only 43 bikes have crashed into motor vehicles thus far in 2012, in comparison with 77 last year. And the really good news is the fact that there have been no fatalities. Some suspect that an increase in helmet use is responsible for the accident downturn.
