780,000 Lexus HS250h and RAV4 Vehicles Recalled for Crash Risk

Posted on August 7, 2012

Lexus HS250h automobiles of the 2010 model year and RAV4 sport utility vehicles of the 2006 through 2011 model years have been recalled by Toyota.  778,000 automobiles in total have a potential defect.  During rear wheel alignment, the nuts could have been tightened incorrectly, leading to loosening, rust, and separation of the arm.  This could lead a driver to lose control of the vehicles.  No recall schedule has been made public at this time since Toyota is still in the process of coming up with a solution.
