Allegheny County Health Department Encourage Safe Driving Near Schools

As students head back to class, the Health Department of Pennsylvania’s Allegheny County is the latest organization to warn pedestrians and motorists alike to be careful near schools.  They stress that the biggest contributor to crashes nowadays is a driver not paying attention, an act particularly prevalent among teens.  The department calls upon parents to educate teenage drivers about the danger.  For their part, children should be taught things like proper street crossing procedures.
