Control Loss Risk Leads Ducati to Recall 1199 Panigale Motorcycles

Posted on August 21, 2012

Ducati has announced the recall of 1199 Panigale motorcycles of the 2012 and 2013 model years produced between March 16 and July 12 of this year. A defect could cause the steering damper to loosen, which could cause drivers to lose control of the motorcycle.  Once owners receive a notification from Ducati, maintenance can be scheduled with an authorized dealer, who will fix the steering damper’s mounting for no charge.
