Hercules Recalls 1,222 H502 Tires for Potential Separation Hazard

Posted on August 14, 2012

H502 radial medium tubeless truck tires are being recalled by the Hercules Tire & Rubber Company because of an error in the manufacturing process of the items.  1,222 tires are being recalled in total.  A faulty machine used during production could have led these tires to not have the proper tire liner thickness.  U cracks could thus form, leading the sidewall to possibly separate and cause a crash.  The recall begins on Friday, at which point owners will be contacted and replacement tires will be given.
