Glendale Improves Pedestrian Safety Around School Zones

Posted on August 14, 2012

Glendale, California is the site of a million dollar project that aims to improve safety at schools in the area.  Numerous pedestrian safety measures are being put in place around 18 schools, starting with Richardson D. White Elementary.  The money comes courtesy of the Safe Routes to Schools grant, and the schools will be the recipients of such improvements as sidewalk repairs, crosswalk striping, and the installation of stop signs.  An effort will also be made to educate parents about safety.
