Vermeer Recalls 3,450 Brush Chipper Trailers for Possible Axle Defect

Posted on August 10, 2012

3,450 brush chipper trailers with a single axle have been recalled by Vermeer.  The trailers are of the model years 2009 through 2012.  The bolts used to mount the axles can in fact become loose and cause the axle to become dislodged from the brush chipper trailer.  This could lead to a crash situation.  Owners of the units should receive a notification around August 24, at which point they’ll be able to bring their vehicles in to dealers for free repairs.
