A new article discusses a program that lets teenagers experience how dangerous distracted driving can truly be. A driving instructor for Allstate put together a driving course at Colorado Springs’s World Arena. The course consisted of an exercise in which there were no distractions, then graduated to allowing teens to start talking or texting on the phone. Many people got through the course faster when texting, illustrating one of the main problems from distracted driving, which is being unable to control your speed.
