261 i-Miev vehicles of the 2012 model year are being recalled by Mitsubishi. The self-diagnostic software and the air bag sensors in these vehicles might be incompatible and lead the airbags to be turned off. Thankfully, an indicator light should light up to warn the driver of the danger, but even still, the lack of deployment would be incredibly hazardous should a crash take place. No word yet on when the recall is scheduled to begin, but it will involve Mitsubishi getting in touch with owners and dealers making free repairs.
