Software Glitch Leads Prevost to Recall 27 Volvo 9700 Motor Coaches

Posted on July 5, 2012

An article posted to safercar.gov concerns the recall by Prevost of the Volvo 9700 motor coach. The reason for the recall of the 27 vehicles is because of a software error that causes the coach to come to a sudden halt, posing a distinct crash hazard.  This sudden stop occurs if the sensor determines that the wheelchair lift door is not fully shut.

Prevost will notify customers about how they can get an update on the software at no cost. The recall is expected to start some time at the beginning of this month.
