Newnan, Georgia Sees Its Share of Distracted Drivers

Posted on July 23, 2012

Two common causes of distracted driving are talking on cellphones and texting, even after the Georgia legislature outlawed texting while behind the wheel.  These aren’t the only distractions out there, though.  A reader e-mailed the paper after seeing a driver doing her makeup and hair behind the wheel, thus driving erratically while two children resided in the back seat.  The column asks citizens to be more responsible while on the road.
