Insurance Rates Remain High Despite Improvements in Safety

A new report discusses how some active safety features are reducing the number of claims filed by motorists. Though motorists are submitting less claims, they aren’t necessarily paying less for their car insurance. Some active safety measures like auto-braking and collision alerts have helped reduce claims by 14 percent in some car systems, but the high cost of replacing these systems means that motorists will still be paying similar rates for the insurance.
