Hands-Free Dictation Technology Aids New California Texting Law

Posted on July 17, 2012

Beginning January 1, 2013, California residents will be legally allowed to use voice-activated and hands-free technology to text while drive. In order to make good purchasing decisions and avoid trouble, it will be necessary for residents to understand microphone quality factors, as well as the effectiveness of Siri on the iPhone, the Android 4.1 Jellybean software, and the 4G LTE. Residents will need to keep in mind that fumbling around with phones can still result in a ticket, so high-quality dictation software is critical.
