Gills Onions has announced an expansion of its recall on diced and slivered red and yellow onions and diced celery and onion mixes. The expansion is due to further investigation and possible health risks associated with the products involved. The diced vegetables may contain Listeria, an organism that can cause serious illness or death if consumed. Because Listeria was found at a processing facility, all items from that facility are being recalled.
