The Ford Motor Company has placed a voluntary recall on 9,320 of their 2013 Escape vehicles. The recall comes after findings which showed a manufacturing defect in the fuel line located in the engine compartment. The fuel line can possibly crack, causing a risk of fire should there be a nearby ignition source. Owners of the affected vehicles are being contacted with instructions on how to go about receiving a free replacement of the fuel line.
