EN-EL 15 Camera Batteries From Nikon Recalled Over Burn Threat

Nikon has been forced to recall EN-EL 15 rechargeable battery packs sold with digital SLR cameras. The recall is due to a potential burn hazard found with the batteries. Seven reports of a short circuit and subsequent overheating have already been made around the world.  As many as 5,100 battery packs are being recalled in the United States alone, with an additional 195,000 units being recalled worldwide.
