We all look forward to the long weekends of summer, which give us a chance to take a break and relax. But the Toronto Star reports that long weekends mean more drivers on the road, more drinking and driving, and more distracted driving. This not only means that citations for these violations increase, but also that there is an increased rate of injury, and even death.
