Cellular phones can bring grave consequences if used improperly on the road. Texting while driving in particular has become a worrisome problem for the NHTSA. Apart from texting, there are many more distractions drivers face. These include eating, drinking, watching a navigation system, and messing with the radio. Texting while driving is by far the most dangerous, though, as drivers lose an estimated 91% of their steering capability when they engage in the action. Texas, where this report originated from, has banned all cellphone activities during driving.
