COMET Crackdown Finds Willing Participants in Williamson Deputies

Posted on July 17, 2012

Deputies in Williamson, Tennessee will begin participating in a new statewide traffic safety program known as COMET (Combined Message Enforcement for Tennessee). Lawmakers and deputies feel that this new initiative, which focuses on impaired driving, distracted driving, and numerous other violations, will gain more ground in preventing accidents than other campaigns because it focuses on more than one issue at a time. COMET is part of the “More Cops.  More Stops.” program.
