Anne Arundel Police Find Distracted Driving Not Limited to Texting

In Maryland, Anne Arundel County police have started implementing “Operation Eagle” to cut down on distracted driving. The program enforces safe driving practices and warns distracted drivers. In addition to texting and driving, distracted driving can include handling pets or eating, according to the police. Readers at the Broadneck Patch have reported witnessing other drivers not using hands-free devices, using the rear view mirror to groom themselves, and reading a book.
