Amigo and Rodeo Get Recalled by Isuzu For Potential Crash Risk

Posted on July 10, 2012

Due to corrosion issues, Isuzu has issued a recall for the 1998-2000 Amigo and the 2001-2002 Rodeo. This corrosion can cause the rear suspension lower link bracket to become detached, greatly increasing the car’s crash risk. The recall applies to cars sold in over 20 states and affects over 11,000 vehicles. Owners of the affected cars may be able to have the issue corrected free of charge at a dealership, or, if the damage is too severe, Isuzu may repurchase the vehicle at Blue Book value. The recall will begin in July of 2012.
