This past Saturday, police officers in Albany, New York taught children about bicycle safety through a bicycle rodeo. It was the second West Hill bicycle rodeo in what’s set to be an annual effort. Children participated in an obstacle course and were able to obtain free helmet fittings from officers. A raffle was held for participants and 30 bikes were given away. One additional benefit comes from the children getting to know officers who patrol around the community.
