A crash test dummy known as MAX The Safety Dog is used to test pet products designed to keep a pet in place during the commute. Recently, he was proven to be immune to damage after being slammed into a wall at 30 miles per hour thanks to the device he was placed in. MAX was testing a new line of pet safety carriers being developed by the Pasadena-based Sleepypod, a pet products company. Unrestrained pets can sustain heavy damage as well as cause collisions when they move around and distract a driver.
