Belgian PSA Shows Difficulty of Texting While Driving

Posted on July 30, 2012

A recent public service announcement hailing from Belgium demonstrates just how difficult it is to text while behind the wheel of a vehicle.

The video finds a Belgian driving school instructor explaining to his students that they must prove that they can text while driving in order to receive their license.  The students comply, driving along a course while attempting to text.

The results are not all that surprising.  Traffic cones are hit, obstacles that would normally be easily avoidable are crashed into, and the participants complain that they can’t do both at the same time without compromising their driving ability.  English subtitles spell out their displeasure, but the reactions are universal.

It’s obvious from the below video that no one should be texting while driving.
