Potsdam Increases Crosswalk Patrols to Improve Pedestrian Safety

In the town of Potsdam, New York, officials have initiated a campaign that aims to preserve pedestrian safety by increasing enforcement of crosswalk right-of-way laws.  The Potsdam Police Department will be issuing citations to motorists who don’t yield to people on foot.  Potsdam officials and the NYS Department of Transportation previously met to discuss how best to improve safety along crosswalks.
