Illnions Passes Julie’s Law to Crack Down on Outlandish Speeders

Posted on July 24, 2012

With the passage of Julie’s Law, Illinois is cracking down on people speeding more then 30 miles per hour over the limit.  A judge used to be able to simply grant court supervision to someone caught speeding over 30 mph above the limit, but that’s no longer the case. The new law is named after a girl who was killed by someone driving 76 mph in a 40 mph zone. The driver had multiple tickets for excessive speeding and was under court supervision.
