16 International Lonestars Recalled Over Wheel Separation Threat

Posted on July 23, 2012

Navistar has issued a recall on 16 International Lonestar vehicles built between January 29, 2009 and February 21, 2011. These vehicles come with the Harley-Davidson option package. The feature codes for such packages are 27DRV and 28 DRV. Corrosion and fatigue can lead to cracks forming in the wheels, which could in turn cause the wheels to become dislodged from the vehicles. This creates a potential crash situation should the separation occur while the vehicle is in operation. Navistar dealers will fix the affected wheels at no charge.
