200,000 Hyundai Santa Fe Vehicles Recalled For OCS Software Error

Posted on July 31, 2012

Santa Fe vehicles from the 2007 through 2009 model years are being recalled by Hyundai due to an error with the occupant classification system.  199,118 vehicles might need recalibration of this component so that it can determine if an adult of small stature is in the seat.  If recalibration is not conducted, the system might not deploy an airbag properly should a crash take place.  Hyundai will be in touch with owners, who can then get their software upgraded for free.
