A proposal to crack down on distracted drivers has been introduced to the Bowling Green City Council. The measure’s language, though, has been criticized by some as being loose and vague. One local college student questioned the enforcement procedure for the law, wondering whether a police officer pulling an offender over would simply provide an additional distraction. The ordinance’s proponents claim a distracted driving law would improve public safety. The measure will have to be read before the council twice more before being brought up for a vote.
