Zero Motorcycles has recalled 254 S, DS, X, XU, and XU-LSM motorcycles of the 2012 model year. The bikes are not sufficiently weatherproof, as the battery management system may be short-circuited during wet weather conditions. This could lead to a loss of power, which can cause injury or death should it lead to a crash. Owners of the motorcycles will be notified and receive free repairs.
