Cellphone Blocker Utilizes Short-Range Jammer, Alerts Authorities

As previously reported, researchers from India have developed hardware that blocks cellphone signals for the driver of a vehicle, but not the vehicles’ other passengers.  Now, we’re learning more about how this RFID technology actually works. A small signal jammer located above the driver’s seat ensures that only that individual is affected.  The technology is also capable of contacting local authorities to alert them of a driver using their cellphone while in transit.
