An injured woman finds hope and encouragement in raising public awareness about the dangers of distracted driving. While out running with a friend, she was struck a total of three times by two vehicles; the accident involved a distracted driver. During her recovery, a picture of what had happened to the woman was posted on Facebook by her husband, and her story went viral. A community fundraiser was also organized by her family to help with out-of-pocket expenses.
