Virginia Targets Distracted Drivers Who Endanger Construction Workers

With road construction heating up during the summer months, many road crews are finding a new job hazard: drivers who are distracted by their smart phones. One state, Virginia, is stepping up a new awareness campaign in order to decrease the number of accidents on job sites. The “Orange Cones, No Phones” campaign is an attempt by the Virginia Department of Transportation to help create public awareness about the dangers posed by drivers who may be impaired by using their phones.
