In Maine, a spokesperson for the State Police stated that distracted driving and seatbelt laws will be more vigorously enforced for a summer long campaign against dangerous driving. He said that summers in Maine are the most hazardous three months of the year for drivers, with more accidents logged during the summer than throughout the rest of the year.
